2010 Vancouver Winter Olymics

The 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver was a good Olympics this year. They won 37 medals they beat German medal record by 1 medal. In the Olympics this year was shocking. American won their first bobsled medal in 62 years. Shaun White retained his title for half pipe in this year Olympics. All though Apollo Anton Onho didn’t get a gold medal this time but he got his 8th career medal in Vancouver. Lindsey Vonn got her first ever in alpine skiing. She beat another American by a half of a second. But my favorite race was the short track speed skating. It was where Ohno was at the back of the pack and he change in to 2nd and won silver. IN the 500 Ohno should have got gold but they disqualified when the Canada guy in front of him should have because he pretty much pushed a Korean guy down and he did not get Disqualified. But Shaun white deafened his gold medal and at the half pipe and at the end of his final round of the finals he already won so he did a Double McTwist 1260. This Winter Olympics in Vancouver was historical for the American it was one of the best Olympics for the Americans this year.

Apollo Anton Ohno

Apollo Anton Ohno has 8 career medals. This year in the Winter Olympics in Vancouver he won silver, and 2 bronze. He has in career so far is 4 bronze medals 2 sliver and 2 gold.He first came into the sport in 1994. He was at the age 12 first interested in speed skating. In the 2002 winter Olympics he was one of the favored that would win the Winter Olympics. So in 2006 Winter Olympics he won gold in Torino. He should have won one more medal because it was when the Canadians guy slipped and Canada guy should have got disqualified because he pushed the Korean guy and he didn’t get disqualified. Ohno said he didn’t win silver or gold is because he it was on Canada soil and it was their home country. Every year since 2002 at Salt Lake he won gold and after the Korean in front of him was disqualified for a legal block. Then Ohno received gold and many Korean sent him Death notes so he was pulled of the world champion. So April 26, 2007, he was inducted into the Asian Hall of Fame, an award which honors achievements of Asian Americans. He is one of the most successful USA individual he beat Bonnie Blair she had 6 medals and Ohno beat her by 2 medals he could win more medals at the 2014 Olympics in Russia I hope they are going to be more fair than Canada. He did not argue though he said it was a cushion and he did not push the Canadian at all but it was final. It was horrible every American was mad but Ohno was probably mad but he held it in and did not say anything bad so he congratulated he competition. It would have been cool if he had won his nine career medal but he has a nother chance to win gold in 2014 in Russia.

Shaun White

Shaun White is one the best snowboarder in my option. He has resent won gold on the half pipe at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver at the age of 23 years old He won gold in the Torino on the 2006 Winter Olympics and he was 19 years old.Early 2010 he debuted the Double McTwist 1260. He is the only person today that can do that trick it is intoning. The trick is 2flips and 3 and half spins. Shaun knew he could do the Double McTwist 1260 But he was waiting for the perfect time to the trick. He did it on a good on the end of his of his last heat in the finals. With that trick he beat his first heat in the finals and he did the trick and got a 48.4 he beat his first run by 1.6 points. He is known as the best snow boarder in the world so far. He won at Torino and now at Vancouver He has defended his gold medal in the men’s half pipe. But his fellow teammates fell short but Scott Lago got the bronze in the men’s half pipe. But Pettu Piiroinen fell short he was so close at the end of his ride he got a 45.00 That meant Lago had to try and beat Whites score. But he didn’t since he was he 2nd to last rider so it was Whites turn and he got a 48.4 that put him in first and Pettu Piiroinen was 2nd and that meant one thing that Lago was 3rd they all did great but Shaun White it was his day on the half pipe.

Kobe Bryant VS LeBron James

Kobe Bryant vs. LeBron James this is a topic that comes up a lot. People say that Kobe is better but another person says LeBron but in my option they had both had an impact on the NBA. LeBron is younger and Kobe is older. But Kobe has a lot more experience than LeBron. They are both good at basketball but I like Kobe better because he plays for my favorite NBA team and that is the LA LAKERS. But Kobe has something that LeBron does not have it is 3 titles. Shaq said they could have done it without him but I think having Kobe on their team had helped them a lot over these years that he has been playing for them. For the 2008 summer Olympics they both made it on the USA team. They one first in the basketball part they won 118-107. They won because they worked as a team and as hard as it got they never gave up. They beat Spain in the gold medal round. They are 2 of the best NBA players. In my option is that they are both really good they have both effected the NBA in many different ways.

Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers is easily the best QB in the NFL if his line would just give him more time than they are now. He was watching Brett Favre for 5 years and the Green Bay’s coach said as soon as Brett Favre retires it is his time to shine. Since Aaron Rodgers had started he’s been doing well he made it to the Pro Bowl and he was starting QB. Aaron Rodgers threw the first touchdown pass it was a great pass. In the NFL him alone he has more running yards than any other QB if he don’t have a passer open if there is a gape for him to run he runs it to try to get as many yards as he can. He is a great QB all together because he can do anything you ask him if you just give him a little time or a gape. In my option he is better than Brett Favre will because Brett Favre is getting old for his career. But Aaron Rodgers still have a lot of NFL to play he is still young. But there is one thing I like the most about him the way he knows all the players and he get along with them. That in my book is a great sportsmanship even if they lose he shake all the players hand.

Super Bowl XLIV

In Super Bowl XIV this year is the New Orleans vs. the Indianapolis Colts. I think this Super Bowl the Colts will win because they are my second favorite in the NFL. In my opinion the Colts will destroy the Saints in the Super Bowl. It will be a good match up this year. The Colts bet the Jets to be in the Super Bowl. It was kind of heartbreaking because I wanted the Minnesota Vikings to win the NFC Champion. But it was a really good game. It was a close score the Vikings lost by one field goal in OT. The saints came in and they would destroy them but they didn’t. yesterday the super bowl what I expected it was worst. But it was a good game I have to admit it was a really good game to watch. The saints won their first super bowl In franchise history. The team I wanted to win was the colts. But they did not play that well this year. I was not mad when the colts lost. I did not want either teams to win the super bowl. I was a good game but overall the saints CAME out on the top. Don’t know maybe the Vikings could make it to the super bowl and win for the first time in franchise history.

Viking season'

My favorite team in the NFL is the Minnesota Vikings. They have never won a super bowl put I think it might be there year. They have Brett Favre this season. But all the players are doing really well this year. Sidney Rice this season got over 90 PASSES alone this season from Brett Favre. I think the offense is one of the best offenses in the NFL. Next week they are going against the New Orleans Saints. I think they might beat them. The Vikings are doing better than they did last year. Last year they when 10-6. They lost against the eagles. They did not play well that game. They lost in the in the wild card round.

This year in the Divisional round they beat the cowboys 34-3 a Home field advantage win. Everyone I know was telling me that the cowboys were going to destroy the Vikings but it was the other way around. My favorite part of the season was when the Vikings beat the Greenbay Packers 2 times this season. But both of those games were close. The Vikings did better against the Packers than I thought. I think it might be the Viking s season this year.

piece I like to revise

The genre of this one is a letter type form. It is about this book we read the first semester .The book is called the tiger rising. It came from the book we had to write about someone in the book and I wrote about Beachamp. One thing I would change is make it long for one and spelling and the use of grammar.







Beachamp is the owner of the Kentucky Star and owns the tiger. He is really rich and owns the woods. When Rob gets the keys he gets paid 2 dollar every time he feeds the tiger. Beauchamp will give Rob meat to feed the tiger. Beachamp is really crazy. He almost hit a tree. Rob is feeding him because I think Beauchamp scared of the tiger. Then Beauchamp gives Rob the keys. Then his dad found out that Beachamp gave it to him. But not it was for the tiger. Rob’s dad did not knowing by the t was for a tiger. His dad was standing by the gun case as he stared at his guns. Then Sistine and Rob shows Willie May the tiger. Then she was disgusted about Beauchamp owning the tiger. Then Sistine says we should let it free. Then Willie May say no it is not our tiger to save. Then Sistine run away. She started to go to her house. Rob goes after her. Then Beauchamp goes down the road screaming. Over all Beachamp is still a crazy old man.

my favorite piece

My favorite poem ever was my haiku poem. My poems was about a CRP. It is was a field but now it has grass on it. It is my favorite because my dad owns a bunch of CRP’s out by his farm.

first semester reflection

I grew in was reading and writing. We learned how to use AWUBIS and the Smiley Face Tricks. Before I learned how to do them I got bored out of my mind. I did not like write before I learned how to use AWUBIS and Smiley Face Tricks. One more things I learned was to set goals for yourself. Like every month we have to read at lease 250pages. No less than 250pages, but we could read as many pages we want over 250. I use to hate reading but I actually like to read now.

I learned about myself went I set goals I can complete them. But most of the times I want to complete them but I just did not get to them. I work well with other people. But if I am with a partner I want them to do part of it so I don’t have to do it all by myself. If I do a project I usually work with someone that does not distract me. I usually get good grades on my work. I learned to work hard enough to get things done before its do. If I try on my work I find out that it can be really easy to do. My favorite thing to do in the first semester was projects. I like to do mostly all of my homework afterschool program. So I can get help if I don’t get something.

I learned how to be more successful for the second semester. One of my goals this semester is to not get more than five infractions or none at all. I think I’m getting better getting most of my homework done on time. I think the second semester will be a lot easier. Because I am use to my schedule. I can now get to my classes a lot faster than I did in the first semester. I also like I will do better because I am use to getting a lot harder homework. But most of the time if I spend time on it I usually get it after I do a couple problem or so.
